Julian’s career started in Safari Tourism, which lead him down the aviation route as a way of accessing remote Safari lodges in Zimbabwe. Now, a former Commercial Pilot Julian with experience in operations throughout Africa, but mainly Tanzania, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Julian has transitioned from the cockpit to the boardroom. A former Managing Director of two of Tanzania’s leading tourism airlines, Julian joined the fasjet group in 2019 as Chief Commercial Officer for fastjet Zimbabwe. During COVID he also took over the commercial reins of Federal Airlines, a fastjet entity in South Africa and became the Group CCO. At the start of 2025 to support the expansion of the fastjet group into other markets, Julian moved from his day to day commercial roles into his current strategic development role for the whole group.
