Ellah Wafula is the Founder of the Association of Women in Aviation Maintenance (Kenya) and an aircraft engineer by background. She is passionate about advancing opportunities for women and young people in aviation, STEM, and sustainability.
She leads impactful programs such as Wild About STEM, an initiative that introduces high school girls to aviation and robotics through hands-on learning, sparking interest in STEM careers while building practical skills. She also runs Lift Up Sessions, which focus on mentorship, personal development, and exposure creating safe spaces for young people in universities and young professionals to gain confidence, guidance, and real-world insight from industry professionals.
Through her initiatives, partnerships, and advocacy, Ellah is committed to bridging the gap between education and industry, while building inclusive pathways into aviation and STEM careers. Her work continues to empower the next generation with the skills, exposure, and confidence to dream boldly and achieve more.
