Aaron Munetsi serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Airlines Association of Southern Africa (AASA). Before his tenure at AASA, Mr. Munetsi held various commercial management roles at South African Airways, including Regional Manager for Africa and the Middle East, and Acting Chief Commercial Officer. During his time in Dubai, UAE in the early 1990s, he gained significant insights into network carriers and identified opportunities for African airlines.

Mr. Munetsi is also a founding member of the Nigeria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce, where he served on the board for a decade. In 2018, he joined the African Airlines Association (AFRAA) and contributed as the Director of Government, Legal, and Industry Affairs. Known affectionately as "Papa Africa" for his dedication to the African aviation industry, Mr. Munetsi has extensive experience across the continent, having lived and worked in more than seven countries. Throughout his career, he has actively participated in African Aviation Aeropolitical and Business forums, furthering the industry's development.
