Mack Air
Mack Air is built upon a deep love for the Okavango Delta and a passion for excellence in air travel. Drawing on our expertise and insider knowledge, we’ll take you to Sub-Saharan Africa’s wildest, most inspiring corners.
Mack Air was launched in 1994 by travel and Okavango Delta enthusiasts, Lara and Stuart Mackay. Their first aircraft consisted of a Cessna 206 Stationair, with offices based in a hot and humid, rustic shack in Maun, Botswana.
In 1996, Lutz Gottschalk joined Mack Air as the first pilot, and by 1998 the company had a small team of pilots making daily flights into the Okavango Delta.
Therefore, from humble beginnings, and over a period of more than 30 years, Mack Air has developed into one of the most advanced air charter companies in Sub-Saharan Africa, setting the standard for air travel across the region.
