Student Pilot || Founder of Wings For Women AviaDev Ambassador
Mahek Shah, is an 18-year-old student pilot in Cape Town, who graduated from the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa, in Kenya. As a young aviator, Mahek was driven to change the fact that aviation was a predominantly male industry. At the age of 14, because of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme, she was able to take her passion and turn it into “Wings for Women” – an initiative educating teenage girls in Kenya on becoming pilots.
As a British citizen, she experienced flying for the first time in London -2019. Though she chose to stay within Africa- her home, to continue to fly higher and help others spread their wings.
